7. How do I exercise my rights?
We aim to keep your personal data up-to-date, so please advise us of any changes and feel free to exercise any of the above rights by contacting us at support@myquartz.ai.
We will respond to your request without undue delay and, in any event, within one month of receipt. If your request is complex or you make multiple requests, we may extend this period by up to two additional months, but we will inform you of any such extension.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your request you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (website).
8. Do you share my personal data with anyone else?
Quartz group of companies
We share your personal data within the Quartz group of companies to:
- provide you with the best service
- protect you, other customers and our systems from fraud or harmful behaviour
- help you quickly sign up for other Quartz products or services
- improve existing, or develop new, products or services
- send you information about Quartz products and services we think you'll be interested in hearing about.
Other third parties
We may share information about you with certain third parties who help us deliver and support the Website. We only share your personal data with these third parties where it is necessary for them to provide their services to us, and always in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable data protection laws.
Social media and advertising companies
When we use social media for marketing purposes, your personal data (limited to only your name, email address and app events) may be shared with the social media platforms so that they can check if you also hold an account with them. If you do, we may ask the social media provider to:
- help us to understand and measure the effectiveness of our online advertising
- show you our adverts to you for products or services you might be interested in
- avoid sending you ads for services you already use
- send our adverts to people who have a similar profile to you (for example, if one of our services is particularly useful to people with similar interests to the ones on your social media profile, we may ask our advertising partner to send our adverts for that service to those people)
We may share your personal data with our advertising partners in the ways described above, but the personal data is hashed before we send it, and the advertising partner we share it with is only allowed to use that hashed personal data in the ways described above.
Our legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests and specifically, to improve the effectiveness of our advertising and ensure that marketing communications are relevant to our users, only using personal data that is necessary and proportionate for these purposes.
You can contact us at any time by emailing support@myquartz.ai, if you don't want us to share your personal data for advertising purposes. Remember you can also manage your marketing preferences directly with any social media provider that you have an account with.
9. Marketing and email communications
We use an email delivery provider to send important service and support messages, such as account verification links. The email delivery provider collects limited technical information, including whether emails are successfully delivered, whether they are opened, and whether links within the emails are clicked. We use this information to ensure our communications reach you, monitor the reliability of our email service, and troubleshoot any delivery issues.
For marketing emails, we will only send messages if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the email. After unsubscribing, you will continue to receive only essential service and account-related communications.
10. How do you protect my personal data?
We recognise the importance of protecting and managing your personal data. Any personal data we process will be treated with care and using appropriate technical and organisational measures. This section sets out some of the security measures we have in place.

We have a detailed IT & Security Policy which our employees are required to follow when they handle your personal data. Our employees receive data protection and information security training. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data will be kept secure from unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee it will be secure during transmission by you to our website or other services we may provide. We use HTTPS (HTTP Secure), where the communication protocol is encrypted through Transport Layer Security for secure communication over networks, for our website.

They also allow us to collect information such as your IP address, browser, email client type and other similar details. We use this information to measure the performance of our email campaigns, and for analytics.
